PayPal Is New Money

On Super Bowl Sunday 2016, we launched a New Money. PayPal wanted to make a stance that the world shouldn't stand for the old, outdated financial system. We deserve a better way to move & manage our money, free of fees, waiting periods and prejudice. New Money isn't paper. It's progress.

If it means anything Rolling Stone Magazine put it in their top 5 ads.

For the campaign, we designed a new branding system that was expanded from print to digital and even a times square takeover. The banding system was comprehensive and ended up being over 100 pages. I wrote and launched the entire system both for the US and to PayPal’s partner agencies around the world.

During the process of that campaign I designed and built an extension called Faces of New Money. We tried to get PayPal to build functionality into their app that enabled users to design their own currency. It never made it into the world so I never put it up on my site.

I shot this video in the office to try and get it sold.

I designed all of the currency elements in the build so users could construct their currency by picking color pallettes, adding graphics and customizing elements that would all layer on each for an infinite amount of permutations.

We also filmed these add-on product feature spots.
